Wipro and Drivestream invited leading companies to share their Journey to the Oracle Cloud experiences at a special Oracle Cloud Luncheon at HCM World and Modern Finance Experience (Boston, MA).
This lively event was well attended and addressed key issues businesses consider when moving business processes to the Cloud.

Jay Chatterjee, Senior Vice President and Partner, Drivestream welcomed the audience and set the stage for a fun and interesting discussion.
Jay introduced Jacob Thomas, Executive Vice President and Managing Partner, who moderated the luncheon discussion.

A variety of speakers share a range of perspectives to help audiences understand the challenges and opportunities presented by the Cloud.
"One of the biggest surprises was a shift in our roles and responsibilities. You used to go to IT Help Desk and wait for them to fix it. Now it's all on you. You need to learn how to manage problems, do research, reach out to the customer community - which is fantastic! There are all kinds of resource groups that you can utilize - to find that answer."

"One more thing is about people involved in the project. We were challenged by losing a key person during implementation. It is very challenging when moving from on-premise to the Cloud. People are going to be burdened. Take very good care of your people. Motivate them. Keep them engaged. Take very good care of them throughout the process. Otherwise you'll lose them. People are the first!"

"You have to look at all of your people. HR will change completely. The duties that they were doing before changes. Some, in all reality will be phased out, because they are not advising somebody on how much leave they have. Because it's all in the system. The other big thing is testing. You got to test. Test, test, test and retest. Got to explain to your department what testing really means. Testing means you got to break the system. Figure out where the threshold is."
